SAZF calls on South African government to condemn the senseless terror attacks in Israel
The South African Zionist Federation (SAZF) strongly condemns the horrific wave of terror attacks that have killed eleven Israelis in eight days, the latest occurring last night (Tuesday 29 March 2022) in the city of Bnei Brak in which five people were killed. We wish to extend our condolences to the families of Israel Police Staff Sgt. Maj. Amir Khoury, Yaakov Shalom, Rabbi Avishai Yehezkel, and two Ukrainian nationals who have only been identified by their first names: Alexander and Dmitry. May their memories be a blessing.
These actions are publicly supported by Palestinian terror groups and are encouraged with monetary benefits for the attacker’s family. Palestinian Authority (PA), President Mahmoud Abbas, has condemned the attack, and the SAZF calls upon the South African government to do so as well, who so far have remained silent. Ongoing incitement and hate speech can only lead to more deaths of innocent people.
